UNESCO Creative Cities Network Monitoring Reports

In 2015, the UNESCO Creative Cities Network established a guideline that asked member cities to report their activities every four years.

The city of Sapporo has been a member of the Network since November 2013, and therefore submitted its second monitoring report to the UCCN Secretariat in 2021, covering the four-year period since designation.

Museums & Art Parks

The city of Sapporo boasts many internationally renowned cultural institutions that form the basis for cultivating the city’s creativity. 

This guide presents the art and history museums that you can explore whilst strolling around Odori Park in the heart of downtown, as well as several parks accessible in less than an hour via subway or bus, where art and culture mingle with the nature of Sapporo thoughout the seasons.
