Sapporo International Art Festival 2017

The Sapporo International Art Festival, which fills the city with various works of art and is held once every three years, will be held in various venues such as Sapporo Art Park, Moerenuma Park, and the Maruyama and city center areas from August 6th (Sun) to October 1st (Sun).

※Those elementary school aged and younger must be accompanied by a guardian.

Sapporo August Festival

Featuring food stalls and Bon Odori performed to live music from the director of the art festival, Yoshihide Otomo, at a venue colored with large furoshiki cloths.

Nakajima Park 100 Year Tale

Structures such as amusement parks, and restaurants etc., which once existed in Nakajima Park and on-goings of those places appear in the form of Yokai dolls. Among these, the elephant dolls with heights of 4 meters are impressive. (Free of charge, no need to apply)

Special advance tickets which allow unlimited access to paid venues during the festival are now on sale at play guides throughout the city and Aeon shopping centers throughout Hokkaido
