Entire Kiyota Ward to begin experimental collection of spray cans and gas canisters starting April 4

Experimental collection of spray cans and gas canisters

The City of Sapporo is currently revising the collection process for spray cans and similar items in light of accidents involving the unintentional puncturing of pressurized cans and cases of fires breaking out in garbage collection trucks.

As a part of this review the city first experimented with the special collection of spray cans and other pressurized items in central Kiyota Ward as a test area. Beginning April 4, this test area will be expanded to all addresses in Kiyota Ward and we therefore kindly ask for the cooperation of all ward residents.
